Size Guide
Socks are easy to get wrong online. Here's how to get it right first time.
How to measure
Stand your child on a sheet of paper with their heel against a wall. Mark the tip of the longest toe — which isn't always the big toe — and measure from the wall to the mark in centimetres. Measure both feet and use the larger one.
Measure in the afternoon if you can. Feet swell slightly through the day, and a sock that fits at 8am can feel tight by 4pm.
Kids' size chart
| Size | Foot length | Typical age | Roughly EU shoe |
|---|---|---|---|
| 23–27 | 14–16.5 cm | 3–5 years | EU 23–27 |
| 28–31 | 17–19 cm | 5–8 years | EU 28–31 |
| 32–35 | 19.5–22 cm | 8–11 years | EU 32–35 |
Ages are a guide only. Children of the same age vary enormously — always trust the measurement over the age.
Adults — The Fashion Line
Our adult socks are made in a single stretch size designed to fit approximately EU 39–44 comfortably.
Between two sizes? Go up.
This is the single most useful rule on this page. Children grow faster than socks wear out, and our cuffs are knitted with enough stretch that a slightly larger sock still sits properly. A sock that's too small pulls the toe seam across the toes and wears through far quicker.
How our socks are meant to fit
- The heel pocket should sit on the heel — if it rides up the back of the ankle, size up.
- The toe seam should sit past the toes, not across them.
- The cuff should hold without marking — snug, never tight. A deep red ring after wear means size up.
Making them last
Machine wash cold and inside out. Tumble dry low, or air dry. Skip the bleach, and skip the fabric softener — it coats the cotton fibres and takes away the softness you paid for.
